National Pasta Day

Thomas Jefferson introduced pasta to America in 1789 while he was the American Ambassador to France. As a surge of Italian immigrants came to North America, pasta became a common food in the late 19th century. Currently, there are more than 600 different shapes of pasta produced throughout the world. Dry pasta are made with just wheat and water. Fresh pasta adds an egg to the dough. World Pasta Day is October 25th.
